LEVERKUSEN, GERMANY ¡ª German manufacturer Carcoustics is planning to start producing automotive parts at its new factory in Nov¨¢ky, Slovakia. Production at the plant, which is located in western Slovakia, is scheduled to begin in September 2013, the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) said in a press release. Under the plan, Carcoustics aims to create as much as 200 new jobs in Nov¨¢ky by next year. The production facility will supply polyurethane and aluminum components for thermal insulation to a number of automotive manufacturers, according to the press release. Local newspaper SME reported that Carcoustics invested about €5m in setting up the new plant. The facility's two production halls have a combined floorspace of some 6,900 sq. m. Set up in 1952 and headquartered in Leverkusen, Carcoustics operates 11 plants worldwide and has a workforce of about 1,400. In 2012, the German manufacturer posted revenues of about €250m, according to figures released by Carcoustics.
