The flexographic printing industry has a new player, Allstein GmbH of Bielefeld, Germany, and the company plans to exhibit at K 2013.
But Allstein is hardly “new,” said Gordon Whitelaw, managing director. He said the company employs about 20 people, including a core group that has more than 400 years of flexo experience.
Allstein makes central impression flexo printers. The company is staffed by experts who can design and build custom-confiigured printing presses.
Whitelaw said Allstein’s key design engineers have 150 international patents for printing technology.
Whitelaw said the company wants to sell worldwide, but Germany accounts for most of the sales right now. Kurt Flathmann, a 40-year printing veteran, is the North American sales manager, based in Morristown, N.J.
The company’s sales director, Hartmut Roessler, has 45 years in the industry.
“We are connected to a tradition of excellence, offering the most advanced technology in a rugged press that is easy to use and priced to deliver an exceptionally favorable investment return,” Roessler said.
At the K show in Germany, Allstein will exhibit in Hall 4, Stand C04.
