MUMBAI – Alpla India Pvt. Ltd. plans to add a sixth plant in India, to make PET preforms, caps and closures. Currently Alpla has five plants in India – three in Baddi, and one each in Sitarganj and Hyderabad. The company had two plants in Hyderabad, but consolidated them into one facility a few months ago. R. K. Rao, vice president marketing & sales, said the company will finalize the location for a new plant soon. Parent company Alpla Holding GmbH of Hard, Austria, has already invested around $25 million in the India market, he said at the recent Injection Molding and Blow Molding Conference in Mumbai. | |
